I recently took part in a discussion on how businesses and brands reach out to consumers through mobile technology. By no means am I an expert on mobile marketing, so I did some research first and came across a great article on the HubSpot Blog called 10 Ways to Leverage Mobile Technology for Marketing. This was guest post by Joe Marcallini , Vice President of Internet Strategy at SteadyRain.

Each one of of the ten methods for mobile marketing that he listed is familiar to me through my ongoing eduction of everything to do with Internet marketing. I have posted Marcallini’s list below:

I am aware of many others. Some of which are: email, mobile search, ads on other mobile sites, consumers sending pictures of products to companies for a discount or reward and multimedia messages. Apparently, in this revolutionary age of new mediums and technology, the imagination is the only limit to what a brand or company can do to reach out to the consumer.

How do you know which marketing concept is best?

We all know mobile usage is growing at a tremendous rate and because of this marketing on this channel is also growing tremendously. Marketing concepts in general are changing so fast it can be a bit daunting trying to keep up with it. Which is why it’s always a good idea for a business to consult with a marketing company that will advise you on the marketing strategies that will work best for your company and products.
